Big Big 12 Game Tonight

Tonight the Baylor Bears face off against the Big 12 leading KSU Wildcats. The Bears are one game back in the race with 4 teams fighting for the crown. The Bears have a tough slate ahead if they want to pull it it off. They must defeat KSU in the little apple (Manhattan Kansas) tonight at 7:00pm on ESPN 2 and then finish out the conference with Oklahoma State coming to Waco on Wednesday and then going back to Kansas next Saturday to face off with KU.

The opportunity is theirs for the taking, but in reality if they win 1 or 2 of the 3 i will be fine. They seem like a lock for a tourney bid and Scott Drew is doing an outstanding job coaching and will be in the running for AP Coach of the year. I surely hope they can gather some Mojo and steal the title over the next three games, but it will be hard to do.

I think the standings will be

  1. Texas Tech
  2. Kansas State
  3. Kansas
  4. Baylor

The others don’t really matter. As long as Kansas doesn’t win the title I will be pumped. It has been too long since someone else has had that honor. I think the Bears will be a 9 seed vs the 8 seed Iowa Hawkeyes (Ralfphus’ Team) in the first round.
